• Version Control With Subversion. Great book about SVN.
• Artificial Intellegence: Foundations of Computational Agents. Chapter on Graph Cuts is Enlightening!
• Statlect, The Digital Textbook On Probability and Statistics. This is a good reference for a 2nd year mathematical statistics course.
• Statistical Methods For Research Workers. This is a classic written by Ronald Fisher!
• Neural Networks and Deep Learning. Have not read yet but looks good!
• The Ancient Art of the Numerati. This is good as an introduction to data mining. The math is kept at a minimum.
• Learn Prolog Now! Prolog is a useless language but fun to learn anyways!
• Tentamen novae theoriae musicae ex certissismis harmoniae principiis dilucide expositae. Book about music from Leonhard Euler in Latin. Apparently it was too mathematical for musicians and too musical for mathematicians!
• Book of Proof. Good resource for making the transition from high school math to university!
• 27 Free Data Mining Books. I recommend "Elements of Statistical Learning"- A consise and simple introduction to the field.
• The Gateless Gate. Zen koans popularized by "Godel Escher Bach".
• Project Gutenberg. For all the books you want to read that are unrelated to Machine Learning.

If You Are Interested in private Tutoring Please Read Below:

If you are considering being tutored by me then you may be aware of my reputation. I receive many more tutoring requests than I can possibly do while balancing my workload. Therefore, I only work under the following conditions:

• I only tutor on the St. George campus, which can be reached for free by UTM students using the shuttle bus (commute is ~40 mins)
• I can only commit to irregular meetings. This means that we meet less than once a week (although we can meet for more than an hour at a time)
• My preference is to tutor mathematical statistics. While I have tutored courses like STA220, I cannot guarentee that I am the best person for the job. Choose your tutor wisely!
• My going rate is $40/hour and is not negotiable
• I reserve the right to terminate the agreement at any time. I'm a busy guy
